FAQ

How do you photograph portraits/individuals?

Portraits are all about you, so let's get to it! My number one rule is that you are comfortable with location and poses. Some poses will be silly, serious, modelesque, timeless, and the list goes on. I get a feel from your personality in a snap and that's what it's all about with making such a memorable and fun shoot! Come have some fun with me :)

Where can we go for photos?

Depending on which package you chose, the answers are vary between packages! I am more than happy to help with a location if you are struggling to pick. That's part of my job is to know all the sweet and super pretty spots!

General add-ons:

Location outside of Houston: $15 as base, travel fee may apply based on mileage from central Houston. For example:

League City to Galveston: free of charge
League City to Spring, Tomball, Woodlands, and Katy : $65

Please inquire for more info if you'd like to shoot at a city that's not listed above.
Additional location to add to package: $50 as base. Two locations must be within 15 minutes of commute (traffic time included).

Can I rent a studio for our session?

Umm, YES!! 100%! I ALWAYS highly recommend a studio rental, especially for the summer months when Texas has unforgivably hot days. It makes for a perfect alternative while still kapturing beautiful moments, glorious lighting, and a guaranteed fun time!

I highly recommend booking in davance on weekends as studio rental schedules fill up quickly!

When will we get our photos?

Perfect photos means taking the time to edit! It varies on the package that has been selected. Please refer to the different pricing packages to see the timelines for gallries to be digitally ready for review. I will send an email to you with a link to download the gallery. The email will be confirmation that they are all ready. :)

What if I want more photos?

Additional edited images add-on:

If you have purchased a full session:
Every image - $8 each
Additional outfit change - $50 per outfit per session.

Three-day delivery rushing fee - $125 base fee. A maximum of three days allotted.

Can I bring a guest?

You are more than welcome to bring one guest! If they make you smile and comfortable, all the better. But please remember, this session is about you, your guest cannot be a part of your photos.

Do you provide any props?

At this time, I do not provide props for sessions besides a blanket for outside photos.

Please reach out to me if you would like to have any props whether it be for an event, proposal, birthday party, etc etc.

Can I bring props to a photoshoot?

Yes, you're allowed and encouraged to bring confetti poppers, glitter, champagne, balloons, smoke grenade, you name it! Please keep in mind, if we have an outdoors or indoors session, glitter and champagne may not be allowed at certain studios or parks to protect the landscape and animals. However, there are plenty of props that can add some fun and color to your session! If you need any recommendations on what and where to get them, please reach out, I can help.

What happens if the weather is bad/raining?

Well, living in Texas calls for the most unpredicatable weather as we all know it! We all know weather can be questionable, especdially during spring and summer months. If the weather is not looking too good on the day and time of your session, I will reach out and reschedule your shoot as soon as possible.

What happens if I am running late to my own session?

If you're running late, we will use the allotted time remaining in our session to make the most out of it. As I keep saying, please plan accordingly for traffic, time to get ready, etc.

For example, if our session is 5:30-6:30pm but you're running 10 minutes behind, the session will be from 5:40-6:30pm and still ends at the same time. Anything past 30 minutes will be fully forfeitted if "no show, no call/text".

CAN I RECEIVE THE RAW/UNEDITED PICTURES?

No, you won't be able to receive the RAW/unedited pictures at the end, as my editing is part of my work too.

WHAT IS A RETAINER FEE* AND WHY IS THERE ONE?

There is a retainer fee because when you book a session with me, that means I have reserved that time for you specifically. If the shoot is canceled last minute (within 7 days before the scheduled date), it is hard for me to quickly find another client; on top of that, you could have possibly taken someone's spot when they also wanted the same time slot. So please, if you are especially planning for large family photos or events, plan accordingly for everyone's schedules!

Therefore, I require a non-refundable retainer fee prior to the photoshoot. Until the full payment is received and paid in full, nothing is booked or set, which means your desired time slot is still available to other potential clients.

I AM GRADUATING IN MAY (OR DEC), WHEN DO YOU RECOMMEND ME TO BOOK AND HAVE MY SESSION?

If you're a May grad, the best time to take photos is going to be late March to early May. If you're a December grad, the best time to take photos is going to be late Oct to early Dec. Please keep in mind, it will take me 2-2.5 weeks to edit your photos and send them back to you. Plan accordingly!

I'd recommend to reach out and book your session as soon as possible though, so you can have more dates to choose from as my availability are first come, first serve.

Can I reschedule a session?

Yes, you may do so. I understand sometimes things come up that are unavoidable and life happens. Session reschedules must be at least a week (7 days) in advance and you must notify me by email. I will try my best to work with you and accommodate for your schedule!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ELOPEMENTS AND WEDDING PACKAGES?

The differences include the time coverage and the amount of images you get.

Wedding packages is great if you have a traditional/typical wedding timeline that includes details, getting ready, first look, vows, bridal party portraits, couple portraits, group portraits, ceremony, receptions, exit/send off, etc.

Whereas Elopement packages are shorter and will only cover the ceremony, couple portraits, and group/family portraits. This is suitable for court house, city hall, adventure, two of you + officiant type of weddings!

Custom packages are still available, please reach out if you have additional questions!

I want to hire you and someone else for my wedding day, is this acceptable?

Unfortunately, that would be unacceptable for the case of photographers. This would be a conflict of interest and would also forfeit some of the vendors that venues have provided. Please check with your venue if they have provided a photographer/s for your special day.

On the other hand, I would have someone that I would scout to be a second shooter at your wedding when you complete a booking with me.

Please keep in mind, your wedding/elopement only happens once, every photographer's editing style varies, so please make sure you are more than satisfied with what you want and see!

Do you have a question that I didn't answer?

Send me a detailed inquiry! Again, a very detailed questionnaire so that we can get the most out of our virtual communication. :-)
